Thank you for being a part of sharing our small, artisan brand of better-for-you ice cream with future Cloud & Joy fans. We believe in our mission to provide a little bit of sweetness into life while still empowering people to maintain a healthy, balanced lifestyle with a product that doesn’t take shortcuts common in big corporate packaged food. As owners, Selina (our product creator) and Ian personally do demos, and these guidelines are based on real-world experience on what works and best reflects our brand — it also means that you can feel free to bring to us any questions or concerns!

JOB DESCRIPTION
As brand ambassador, you are to present a friendly, happy and understanding face to represent Cloud & Joy. Think of the people you encounter as friends you want to share a new find with. While of course a goal is to get Cloud & Joy into shopping carts during a demo session — your main goal is:
Introducing Cloud & Joy to people who are unfamiliar
Creating a positive interaction and first experience with us that they will remember fondly and feel positively connected to us
Gentle product education
Sales will flow from achieving these three goals naturally. We don’t enforce a sales quota, because we don’t want you to engage in high-pressure sales tactics.
Tastings + Merchandising
While at the store, your job has three main responsibilities:
Tastings: You will be serving samples using small spoons of between 2-5 flavors per tasting session, explaining the flavors and benefits, answering questions and engage with them in a social way while doing so. Details on the procedures are in the section Tasting Guidelines
Merchandising: In case you aren’t familiar with this term — “merchandising” simply means making sure that the product is displayed in an attractive manner and properly arranged in the freezer cabinet with the correct pricing and labeling at the start, during and end of the session. Details on the procedures are in the section Merchandising Guidelines
On-Shelf Inventory: You will record the number of units in the display freezer at the beginning of the session and at the end of the session and document it. Details on the procedure is in the section Inventory Guidelines.
As a note: you will be pulling from inventory for the samples (generally 2 flavors) and will record what you take so we can compensate the store monthly.
